Biography
Maura has been leading our Rouse Africa practice since it opened in October 2015.
She started work with Rouse back in 1994 as a trainee in its London office. She worked there for 16 years, having been a Partner in the business since 2003. She moved to Cape Town in 2011 and has now been a ‘Rouser’ for over 18 years!
In Africa, she handles a wide range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters across the whole region. She has a particular focus on trade mark portfolio management and enforcement programmes. Maura advises all business sectors from African start-ups to international multi-national companies.
Maura is Chair of INTA's Anti-Counterfeiting Committee Middle East and Africa Subcommittee for the 2018-2019 term.
