Melanie is a Principal based in our Shanghai office.
Melanie is experienced in managing a wide variety of trade mark portfolios and advises clients on trade marks issues in China. Melanie is a PRC licensed lawyer at Lusheng Law Firm, a member of the Rouse network in China.
In addition to regular brand clearance, filing, prosecution, and disputes concerning trade marks - Melanie has vast experience representing international clients and managing trade mark portfolios in China. Apart from the trade mark practice in China, Melanie has adept experience assisting Chinese local clients and/or overseas clients to have their trade marks registered and protected in other jurisdictions through the International Registration system (Madrid Agreement and Madrid Protocol), as well as coordinating with local agents all over the world.
Her clients include leading companies in diverse industries such as auto parts and machinery industry, dairy products, and beverages, hair care products, sanitary products, toys and games, stationery manufacturing, household products.
