Rouse is committed to eliminating discrimination and promoting equality and diversity in its own policies, practices and procedures and in those areas in which it has influence. We intend to treat everyone equally and with the same attention, courtesy and respect regardless of their gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion or age.
This commitment is also applied to Rouse’s professional dealings with staff, clients, lawyers, attorneys, agents and others.
Rouse culture is one of support and collaboration ensuring that Rousers can bring their true selves to work every day in an open and safe environment, where we can thrive. We do not just “tick the diversity box” but understand the real value of fostering diverse ideas, values, backgrounds, skillsets and more, which allows us to challenge traditional thinking. The meanings of diversity and progress on individual issues vary between and within countries in which we operate. Within this challenging landscape, we strive to allow our values and culture to result in a better workplace and better client service.
You would be hard pressed to find a more diverse team than Rouse. We operate in 12 jurisdictions and employ a predominantly female workforce from more than 20 ethnic backgrounds. 56% of our senior leadership are women, with a majority from emerging markets.
We have set up a Rouse Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force consisting of an incredibly diverse group of Rousers right across our offices. The Task Force share insights on the meaning and impact of DEI in their regions, assess the current state of DEI initiatives within Rouse and put forward recommendations to Senior Management on ways to embed DEI within the Rouse fabric.
